A sleepy, agricultural nation ruled by a hereditary human Earl, Danas has an extremely high population of hobbits and is one of the regions considered most likely to be the hobbit homeland. Because of its relative isolationism, Danas was not deeply affected by the chaos of the Third Interannum, though the Earl did break off ties with the religious heirarchy of the Old Gods and converted to worship of the Tuatha de Dannan early in the Fourth Age of Man. As a result, the population and recruitment of druids in the region has been on the rise.
