Revina of the Sealed Cart

Exemplar of Honest Transport, Patron of Caravaneers, Haulers, and Bonded Couriers

Revina was born in the trade road town of Ascaleth in Vistria, where her family ran a modest caravan service between distant markets north of the Antasian Mountains and the river ports of the lowlands to the east. From childhood, she understood that trust was heavier than cargo—and harder to earn back if lost. During the War of Four Barons, banditry and extortion plagued the merchant roads. Revina swore a private pact before the shrine of Minos that she would deliver a sealed cart of temple ledgers, guild contracts, and sacred promissory notes from the fallen city of Durellos to Calerath, a nine-day journey through war-torn hills. She succeeded—alone—after her caravan was ambushed and destroyed on the third day. She rode a broken-wheeled cart drawn by a single ox, refusing all bribes, shortcuts, or rest under false protection. She reached the gates of Calerath bruised, bloodied, and bearing the unbroken seal of Minos. Revina is credited with founding the Order of the Sealed Cart, a monastic order of teamsters, bonded couriers and wagonwrights.

Revina is depicted as a weather-worn woman in a merchant’s cloak, hand resting protectively on a sealed cart embossed with the sigil of Minos. Her left palm is always shown bearing a scar in the shape of a wax seal—symbol of a vow kept despite pain. She is invoked by teamsters, caravan masters, bonded messengers, and merchants carrying sensitive goods across dangerous lands. The likeness of her scarred palm is often carved into the beams of wagons, or etched on the inside lids of cargo crates meant to reach sacred destinations.
