Syndra Malvene, known across the Pirate Isles as the Glass Widow, is a calculating, icy presence among the Warcaptains. Believed to have once been a noble scion of Numentora, she now rules the sea with a sapphire gaze and a voice like falling ice. Her elegance masks cruelty, her wit cuts deeper than steel, and her vengeance, when stirred, is as precise as it is merciless. Syndra captains the Vitreous Veil, a sleek war-frigate said to be carved from the remnants palace domes her crew have pillaged. Her fleet, the Fractured Court, is a force of surgical strikes, calculated amphibious raids on land and silent boarding parties that leave their victims gutted before dawn.

Syndra Malvene, Captain of the Vitreous Veil, Warcaptain of the Fractured Court, the Glass Widow. Human? Female.
Overview
Syndra is aloof, brilliant, and viciously pragmatic. She governs her crew and subordinates with a cold kind of respect, rewarding competence but tolerating no disobedience. A master of subterfuge and social manipulation, she treats war and politics like a game of chess. She despises crudeness and impulsivity - believing control is the highest virtue — and she nurtures long grudges like fine wine. Beneath the cool surface, however, burns a need for vengeance... exactly what the subject of that vengeance is open to much speculation.
Description
Syndra is statuesque and pale, with long raven-black hair usually bound in silver thread. Her clothing blends the regal and the lethal: a high-collared coat of dark blue, silver epaulets, and a corset of reinforced glass lamellae etched with nautical runes. She wears a variety of delicate porcelain masks, rumored to hide a scar from her exile. Her voice is soft, deliberate, and chillingly serene—even while ordering a slaughter.
Background
Syndra is rumored to have been born into nobility in the Republic of Numentora, to a family of great wealth known for creating enchanted glasswork. When the Republic was founded, her family was exiled for attempting to establish a monarchy and Syndra's family became a semi-nomadic maritime family travelling among sympathetic nobles of other lands. As the story goes, her family's galleon was taken by pirates and Synda was enslaved, but she earned her way onto the crew and rose swiftly, turning her bitter nobility and social acumen into a weapon. She orchestrated the deaths of three captains in a single night and claimed their ships as her Fractured Court. Now, she treats piracy like a masquerade: every battle choreographed, every alliance conditional, and every enemy a shard to be broken.
