Overview
Markos of Acteos is a thin man, well into his thirties, who obviously has little place on the battlefield. Even so, he enlisted into the military in an attempt to raise himself and his parents out of poverty, and his hard work and determination have paid off. Castle Prefect Markos typically worked administrative duties while he moved through the ranks, and his thin body and weak appearance betray his lack of combat experience. The Prefect, however, already has a Warden to see to the defense of Fort Umbrago, and the Prefect placed Markos in his position to perform the administrative duties that must accompany any large fighting force. Markos is quite efficient at what he does, but it is obvious that he has begun to desire greater things. It is also known that he shares no love for Captain Iacobus, and the two can often be seen quarreling on the battlements of the castle.
