630 BI	5996 MT	121 NC	The War of the Dark Rider beings as the Dark Rider, a mysterious dark-armored figure upon a demonic horse, leads the orcs of Karad-ul in an attack on the dwarves of the Kingdom of Derlos, beneath the Cambrecian Mountains. Though the orcs sustain heavy losses, they far outnumber the dwarven defenders.
627 BI	5999 MT	124 NC	The War of the Dark Rider escalates as the orcs of Karad-ul find a way into the royal court of Sverni VII, King of Derlos and massacre his entire court. A contingent of dwarven refugees flee to the surface and approach the elves of the Arisian forest to request assistance. The elves are at first resistant to the idea, but when the orcs of Karad-ul began to stream from the mountains to attack the elves, they quickly organize with the dwarven refugees to fight the orcs to a stand-still.
625 BI	6001 MT	126 NC	Neptag, under the young King Orris, formally enters the War of the Dark Rider in support of the dwarves of Derlos and the Arisian elves.
599 BI	6027 MT	152 NC	Meargagh, chieftain of the Kamaros, jealous of Neptag's wealth, besieges the city but fails to breach its walls.
596 BI	6030 MT	155 NC	Meargagh, chieftain of the Kamaros, still jealous of Neptag's wealth, besieges the city for a second time but again fails to breach its walls.

584 BI	6042 MT	167 NC	Meargagh, chieftain of the Kamaros, dies. Irgalach son of Meargagh, his eldest son who was kept hostage in Neptaris as a result of the Treaty of Tawn, is released to assume the Kamaran throne.
581 BI	6045 MT	170 NC	King Irgalach of Kamaros, former hostage of Regent Joandar, ruler of Neptaris arrives at the gates of Neptag with a Kamaran army trained in the Neptag battle tactics he learned growing up there. The city falls within a month, with Regent Joandar taken back to Kamaros to serve as tutor for Irgalach's children, leaving the young King Orris to rule Neptag as a dependent monarch.
571 BI	6055 MT	180 NC	King Orris, the young half-elven King of Neptag, allies with the nearby Arisan Elves and marches on Kamaros, capturing the tactically-critical Fort Tintagar. He would hold the Fort through five years of near constant warfare and sieges.
566 BI	6060 MT	185 NC	After five years of war, King Orris of Neptag achieves victory in the Last Battle of Kamaros when a stray arrow slays King Irgalach of the Kamarans. In the resulting treaty, Regent Joandar is released from his imprisonment and returns with King Orris to Neptag, where both receive a hero's welcome.
545 BI	6081 MT	206 NC	A drought strikes southern Duria and the last of the Arisan elves depart their forests to seek sanctuary in the city of Neptag. To commemorate the event, the half-elven King of Neptag, Orris, renames the city Neptaris.
541 BI	6085 MT	210 NC	At the age of 105, the half-elven King Orris of Neptaris abdicates his crown after failing to resolve a rebellion by Politos of House Rimman. As his last act of office, Orris designates his mentor, Regent Joandar, to select his successor. He then takes the cloth and becomes a monk of Clementia the Dove.
540 BI	6086 MT	211 NC	The Second Neptaran Ecumenical Council is held by the priests of Neptaris to revoke the trust King Orris had placed in Regent Joandar to select a new King. The people of Neptaris rise up against Joandar and he is stoned on the steps of the Temple of Clementia. Later that year, the Council selects Tivan Laes of House Kraegar to become the new ruler of the city. Furthermore, they issued the Rule of Neptaris, which renamed the royal ruler "Neptarch" and established the Church of Betshaba as the authority through which all nobles would be granted the right to rule.
537 BI	6089 MT	214 NC	Politos of House Rimman, a Neptaran noble and politician known for his repeated opposition to the selection of a new ruler of the city by Regent Joandar or the Second Ecumenical Council dies in ignominy at the age of 52 when his body is found in a ditch behind a less-than-reputable tavern in the city.
521 BI	6105 MT	230 NC	Tivan Laes of House Kraegar, first Neptarch of Neptaris, dies and the Church of Betshaba recognizes his eldest son, Iolomar as his successor to the Neptaran throne.

300 BI	6326 MT	451 NC	The semi-legendary King Velthur, called the Boar-Crowned, unites the hill-tribes and the plains-folk of Milosia into one kingdom after leading them to a great victory over a horde of raiding Antasian giants and goblins. He establishes his seat in the city of Tasca Obodos and founds the royal House Velthuri.
245 BI	6381 MT	506 NC	The Archmage Veseverus, an exile from the wizard community in Zeth, secretly unifies various human tribes to the west of Camaria under his banner as their ruler, founding the Kingdom of Medellis.
203 BI	6423 MT	548 NC	King Sergius II of Camaria sends envoys to the Republic of Zeth to request aid against his aggressive neighbors, the Medellans. Though the Senate initially declines his request, a young Senator from House Zetar, Marcus Publius of House Zetar meets with the King and strikes a private bargain to assist him in convincing the Senate to overturn its decision. M. Publius is successful and the Senate commands the standing Defensor Rei Publicae, Crassus of House Zetar, to take the Legions to defend their Camarian allies. Later historians believe that M. Publius convinced Crassus, his uncle, to conquer Medellis in the name of House Zetar, not for the Republic.
200 BI	6426 MT	551 NC	Aescalapean ships first arrive at Zeth to trade goods from the barbarian north.
195 BI	6431 MT	556 NC	After victory of the Medellans in the Battle of Denamore, the victorious Zetian general Crassus of House Zetar delares Medellans subject to House Zetar and their ally, the Camarian King Sergius II his personal client. The Zetian Senate revokes the proclamation later that year, but the concept that a King might be personally considered a client of a member of one of the Great Houses takes hold in popular imagination in the Republic, paving the inevitable road towards Empire.
192 BI	6434 MT	559 NC	The War of the Golden Coast begins when an Aescalapean pirate vessel attacking Zetian merchant vessels is discovered to be lead by an Aescalapean nobleman.
189 BI	6437 MT	562 NC	During the War of the Golden Coast, Zeth is blockaded by the powerful Aescalapean navy. The blockade is recalled as Zetian infantry arrive in Aescalapea via Ganesia.
187 BI	6439 MT	564 NC	The War of the Golden Coast ends as the Aescalapean city of Dracar is sacked by Zetian troops. The Aescalapean royal palace in Dracar is dismantled and its stones used to build a temple to Galea. House Gabinius is given oversight of the newly-founded Zetian colony.
140 BI	6486 MT	611 NC	After decades of raids and forays by Aescalapea's ruling family, House Gabinius, into neighboring Milosia, the Milosian King BaltosIII declared all-out war on Aescalapea, initiating what would come to be known as the Gabinian War.
135 BI	6491 MT	616 NC	Struggling with a stalemate in the Gabinian War, House Gabinius of Aescalapea forms an unofficial alliance with the King of nearby Cordosia, who already had great personal enmity with the Milosian King Baltos III. The addition of Cordosian soldiers tips the scales of the war, but it will still be 15 bloody years before Aescalapea is victorious.
128 BI	6498 MT	623 NC	A Zetian war armada launches from Zeths, sailing eastward towards Duria to stem the tide of pirates attacking Republican merchant vessels in the Betshaban Ocean. Under command of the aging Androcles of House Livius, the armada runs into several misadventures before finally arriving at Ylargebad Island the following year.
127 BI	6499 MT	624 NC	Androcles of House Livius, in command of the Zetian armada, arrives at Ylargebad Island, south of modern-day Koramia. His legion quickly defeats the unprepared barbarian pirates who called Ylargebad home and he establishes a colonial outpost on the island at the village of Lar Glarsaw, which he renames Marebellium. Androcles sends envoys to the mainland and establishes a relationship with a native tribe he calls the Tracini. He is named Comes Litoris Tracini (Count of the Tracini Shore) by a grateful Senate. This would be the first non-defensive conquest by the Zetian Republic.
125 BI	6501 MT	626 NC	Androcles of House Livius, Comes Litoris Tracini dies of natural causes in Marebellium. His body is returned to Zeth, where he receives a full state funeral. Marcus Argentis of House Zetar is named his successor as Comes Litoris Tracini but remains in Zeth.
123 BI	6503 MT	628 NC	Larstat II, a king of the northern barbarians who lived in present-day Koramia, sends a messenger to Zeth to purchase mercenaries to assist in his war against the Xaclos. His envoys are welcomed by the Senate and lauded by Marcus Argentis of House Zetar, who sees an opportunity in rendering assistance to the Tracini. Under the auspices of his title as Comes Litoris Tracini, M. Argentis begins to build a legion and fleet to transport them to Duria.
121 BI	6505 MT	630 NC	Septimius Varros, the Legate who would one day conquer Cambrecia in the name of the Zetian Republic, is born to a plebian household.
120 BI	6506 MT	631 NC	The Gabinian War ends with an Aescalapean victory at the Battle of Tasca Obodos. The Milosian king is captured and executed by the victorious general, Menander of House Gabinius, but most of the Milosian soldiers flee westward across the Antasian Mountains with Menander's legion in pursuit. Marcus Argentis of House Zetar arrives with a Zetian fleet on the shores of present-day Koramia in support of King Larstat II of the Tracini in their conflict against the Xaclos. He would continue to march his legion across the Divian Peninsula, bringing tribe after tribe under his command, claiming them as his personal clients.
107 BI	6519 MT	644 NC	Marcus Argentis of House Zetar returns to Zeth from his conquests on the Divian Peninsula. By this point, his legion is mostly composed of foreign legionnaires loyal to him personally as their patron. Hearing rumors that the Senate was planning to arrest him for despotism, M. Argentis personally initiated his own Triumph through Zeth. When the Senate saw the popular support that M. Argentis received, they quickly acknowledged his heroic status and showered him with accolades, including a titular grant as Dux Duriae (Duke of Duria). M. Argentis returned to Duria to continue his conquests.
101 BI	6525 MT	650 NC	Marcus Argentis of House Zetar dies in the Battle of Silva Bartica fighting against the Bartovici tribe in the northern reaches of the Divian Peninsula. His nephew and heir, Antonius Argentis takes up the Dracones of House Zetar and leads the legion to victory. Antonius Argentis is raised to Dux Duriae by the legion and the Zetian Senate (wisely) ratifies the declaration the following year.
97 BI	6529 MT	654 NC	By this time, Zetian legions under the command of Marcus Argentis of House Zetar and his successor, Antonius Argentis, have conquered the Divian Peninsula, including present-day Illyria and even parts of the elven Webwood.

50 IC	6675 MT	800 NC	The Imperial Legion in Cambrecia slaughters a dwarven delegation from Derlos, sparking what the Empire would call the Derlic War. Dwarven emissaries go to the Freecity of Neptaris to enjoin assistance from their ancient allies. Secretly, the Neptaran Triumvirate agree and Neptaris quietly prepares for war.
55 IC	6680 MT	805 NC	In support of their ancient allies among the dwarves of the Kingdom of Derlos beneath the Cambrecian Mountains, the Freecity of Neptaris declares war on the young Zetian Empire, initiating what they would call the First Cambrecian War.
58 IC	6683 MT	808 NC	The Saffron Scourge spreads throughout southern Duria and into parts of Imperial Simmeria, killing about 25% of the population in affected regions. Among those taken by the Scourge include Legate Cyricus Isidorus of House Livius, commander of the Zetian Legion III Cambrecia during the First Cambrecian War and the Cambrecian King Tarnos III. The death of the latter sparked sixteen years of internecine warfare in Cambrecia referred to as the Dravosid Kinstrife.
78 IC	6703 MT	828 NC	In response to the victory of King Kestor over contenders for the Cambrecian throne, Emperor Leto I of House Livius sends cohorts of reinforcements to Cambrecia to depose the new King and place his own successor, Quintus Sarnicos, on the throne of Cambrecia. The fate of King Kestor in the wake of his usurpation is unknown.
149 IC	6774 MT	899 NC	After a century and a half of endless rebellions, Emperor Metius the Elder of House Livius sends Ionnanes II, Pontifex of Zelos, to Septarium in an attempt to quell the rebels through conversion.
166 IC	6791 MT	916 NC	Corvos, son and heir to deceased Cambrecian King Basran Sugurd, ascends to the throne of Cambrecia under the watchful direction of his Regent, tutor and surrogate father, Pontifex Ionnanes II, re-establishing traditional kingship in Cambrecia after decades of unpopular Kings appointed by the Zetian Emperor. This is considered to be the end of what has become known in Cambrecia as the Long Discontent.

Neutered by a local priesthood that refused to recognize his authority, the Imperial Prelate returns to Zeth and Urbanus I is pronounced First Prelate of Vortumnus under the Koram. The Potentate of Cambrecia issues a strong message of condemnation for who he names the Heretic-King and breaks off trade relations with Paeldain and any who flock to the Greysword’s banner.

1250 IC	7875 MT	2000 NC	The Goblet of Gundagor is discovered in Koramia and returned to the dwarves under the Divian Mountains; end of the Second War of the Sun. Baron Algernon Marn of Koramia becomes first human ambassador to the dwarves in millennia. The Imperial fleet sets sail for Koramia in a planned surprise attack on the nation. Later that year, William Greysword I, First King of Koramia, returns to lead his country against the Imperial invasion. The dwarves of the Janos Mountains, having received word about the return of the Goblet of Gundagore, arrive in Adanar to establish trade relations with humans. The Adan, having never ever heard of the Goblet, are confused, but eagerly begin trading with the metal-rich dwarves.
1251 IC	7876 MT	2001 NC	The assembled Imperial army, allied with Illyria and Cambrecia, attacks Koramia. By the end of the season, Illyria betrays the Empire and allies with Koramia, who grants her independence. An orcish army, led by a former prisoner of Illyria known as Gar'dun, joins Koramian effort. Later that year, civil war erupts in Illyria between those loyal to the crown and those who support the Empire. In the Dragonlands, the Order of the Brilliant Lance, the Dragonknights, are reformed. Later in the year, Imperial forces are dealt harsh defeat at the First Battle of Paeldain in Koramia when the Glorious Galley, of Vortumnian legend, appears with a Dragonknight at the helm. In Lun Dorak, the Mage-King Lucasa discovers the Magesword. Near Webwood Forest, Math Mathowny, villain of the Tuatha de Dannan, is slain by Cuchulain. Falgao Rodrigo III Espadalva of Adanar grants territory along his eastern border with Thet to the newly arrived dwarven traders there, founding the nation of Valduran.
1252 IC	7877 MT	2002 NC	The only son of Emperor Publius Antonius dies. The Emperor's closest advisor, Lucius, is named heir. Lucius, now of House Zetar, leads the armies in Koramia and succeeds in taking Paeldain. King William Greysword I and his family are slain defending Paeldain. The Greysword's son-in-law, Gawyn Asheva, is crowned King and flees to a hidden stronghold in the Divian Mountains. Late in the year, the Emperor of Zeth dies and is succeeded by Lucius, who reveals himself to be the Mage-King, Lucasa of Lun Dorak. The Imperial capital is moved to the Sapphire City in Lun Dorak. In Adanar, the dwarves of the Janos mountains open an embassy and begin trade negotiations with humans in the region.
1253 IC	7878 MT	2003 NC	Gar'dun becomes Great Khan, uniting the orcish tribes of Vor Midal and attacks Lun Dorak. With the assistance of Gar'dun, the Dragonknights attack the Sapphire City and defeat the ailing Mage-King, who soon dies of an unknown illness. Without its Mage-King, the Dorakian Empire immediately crumbles.
1254 IC	7879 MT	2004 NC	The Imperial Governor of the Mabean Marches dies and civil war erupts between loyalists to the Empire and local forces. By the end of the year, Tancorix, a Mabean member of the Imperial forces in the Mabean Marches, betrays and defeats Imperial forces. He is crowned King of Donnagh by the druids of Ywys. Ywys breaks its alliance with the Empire and allies with Donnagh.
1255 IC	7880 MT	2005 NC	Dracia declares independence from the Empire and Vladimir Vtalasav is crowned King. King Clovar V Tuepierre declares independence from the Empire and officially converts to the Koramian Heresy, wherein Vortumnus is viewed as King of the Gods. Civil war immediately erupts.
1256 IC	7881 MT	2006 NC	Mitaria is attacked by an armada of Valtang warships. Instead of merely raiding, the Valtang barbarians begin building forts and seem intent on taking the country. Mitaria requests assistance from the Empire. Still without an Emperor, the Empire sends no troops to Mitaria to defend it from the Valtang invaders. King Tostig the Red of the Valtang arrives in Mitaria to lead the invasion.
1257 IC	7882 MT	2007 NC	With most of the Imperial troops in Mitaria defeated, King Tostig the Red names his son, Aelfric the Bold, King of Mitaria and returns to Valtaan. After a year of sporadic incursions, the orcs of Vor Midal, under the leadership of Gar'dun, attack their former elven allies of the Webwood en masse. Over the next two years, most of the southern Webwood is burned to ash and well over three-fifths of the survivors departed the Webwood as refugees in nearby human lands.
1259 IC	7884 MT	2009 NC	King Clovar V Tuepierre of Narbonne is slain in battle and his son, Dagaric, is crowned King by the Bishop of Grischamp. By the end of the season, Dagaric has quelled most of the fighting in the nation with the assistance of the Order of the Red Band, an order of Koramian Paladins.
1261 IC	7886 MT	2011 NC	The Crimson Plague strikes in Lagorka and quickly spreads along trade routes westward. By the end of the year, the Plague has reached Aebasa, despite sometimes militant attempts to curb its spread.
1262 IC	7887 MT	2012 NC	The Crimson Plague strikes in Neptaris, likely brought by traders from the east. From Neptaris, the Plague spreads quickly to Koramia, Tamerynd and Zeth. The Fourth Succession War grinds to a stalemate as the Crimson Plague takes several prominent leaders and decimates the population. The Valtang barbarians of Mitaria march on Narbonne.

1296 IC	7921 MT	2046 NC	Mother Ysabet of Betshaba, future Wavemother of Marosh, is born into the seaborne of the Freecity of Neptaris.
1309 IC	7934 MT	2059 NC	The Naderan Chamber of Princes meets in a closed session to depose the aging King Goren of House Orzaiz, but a fire breaks out in the Chamber, disrupting the proceedings and leaving five of the Princes dead. The secretive Saphracine Watch is generally believed to have been behind the attack.

1324 IC	7949 MT	2074 NC	The Quartz Isle Company is founded by a conglomerate of wealthy families in the Freecity of Neptaris with the express purpose of establishing trade envoys with re-emerging nation-states and colonies in regions left "unclaimed" in the wake of the Dark Times. Operating under charter from Neptaris, they rapidly become a extra-national means to exert growing Neptaran economic and military power across the Betshaban Ocean.
1318 IC	7943 MT	2068 NC	The Concilium Magni Textrini Fatalis Zethensis is held in Zeta, attended by the Archisacerdi of Paelemona the Spinner, to decide how to proceed with selecting a new Pontifex in the absence of a clear Emperor of Zeth, who traditionally would select a Pontifex for the faith in their role as Pontifex Maximus. After three weeks of debate, the Council decides that it will elect its own Pontifex from among its ranks. Later that year, the Vedente of Monte Ordito in Treva was elected Pontifex and chose the name Columba.
1325 IC	7950 MT	2075 NC	Princess Anborxe Etxeleku is elected by the Chamber or Princes to the royal seat of Nadera. As Queen, Anborxe proves to be successful in expanding Nadera's economic influence by establishing counting houses in neighboring countries and improving their rising maritime power by establishing the Maritime Academy of Garza. She was so popular that she was elected to an unprecedented second term in 7960 MT.
1331 IC	7956 MT	2081 NC	Ranuccio Ozzo, a wealthy wool trader and rising banker used his political acumen (and, it is believed, quite a bit of bribery) to bring about the collapse of a coalition of Trevan baroni and declares himself Principe of Treva. He begins construction on a lavish palace in Modegna and, despite some murmured objections from the landed aristocracy, his claim not only goes uncontested, but celebrated in Modegna. A month later, the Church of Paelemona the Spinner formally recognizes Ranuccio's claim and the foundation of Casa Ozzo.
1332 IC	7957 MT	2082 NC	At the relatively young age of 39, Malach Virex becomes Archdeacon of Cthos the Doomsayer at the Sepulchral Lantern in Seahaven, Marosh.
1333 IC	7958 MT	2083 NC	The Maritime Academy of Garza is established by Queen Anborxe Etxeleku in the Naderan capital city of Garza. The Academy trained navigators, mapmakers and shipwrights, most of whom were then funneled into work for the Neptaran Merchant houses and growing expeditionary fleet.
1335 IC	7960 MT	2085 NC	Queen Anborxe Etxeleku becomes the first elected monarch of Nadera to be re-elected to the royal seat by the Chamber of Princes.
1345 IC	7970 MT	2095 NC	Prince Goren II of House Orzaiz grandson of the King Goren that maintained relative stability in Nadera during the Dark Times, is elected to the royal seat by the Chamber of Princes. his rule is marked by an expansion of Nadera's expeditionary fleet and institution of licensed privateers that preyed on Nadera's enemies (which included any peoples that didn't have a trade agreement with the country).
1349 IC	7974 MT	2099 NC	After years of slowly gaining economic and social control over the town, the Freecity of Neptaris declares Seahaven a colonial possession and assigns Iskandros Melanthios Varro as Eparch.
1350 IC	7975 MT	2100 NC	The Aureliad Consortium, a coalition of Narbonnais financiers, Vistrian mining interests, and Milosian shipping magnates, is formed in the northern ports of the Aurean Sea. Within a decade, the Consortium begins to expand its economic influence well beyond their native waters, establishing trading houses in major ports around the Betshaban Ocean.
1351 IC	7976 MT	2101 NC	Principe Ranuccio di Casa Ozzo, the wealthy wool trader who bought his way onto the throne of Treva dies of natural causes. Despite no legal justification for primogeniture, his eldest son, Bartolo assumes the throne in Modegna. His ascension is quickly recognized by the Church of Paelemona the Spinner in Treva and none openly contest the transition of power.
1352 IC	7977 MT	2102 NC	The Neptaran War begins as the Freecity of Neptaris declares war on Daredonia.
1354 IC	7979 MT	2104 NC	The Dracian Civil War rages across Dracia in central Aurea as several key factions form a loose alliance against the "Ivory Queen," Magdalena I. Captain Eko Elizondo of Nadera reaches the legendary island of Kesh and returns home with silks, gold-threaded brocades, new spices and other goods from unknown lands across the Endless Ocean. He is celebrated as a national hero.
1355 IC	7980 MT	2105 NC	The Battle of Kzerna ends with the defeat of the Ivory Queen, ending The Dracian Civil War in Dracia. Cyril of House Zabšinac, formerly Lord High Marshal of Dracia, is crowned King Cyril II. The Ivory Queen herself commits suicide rather than face the ignominy of defeat. She is still granted a royal burial by order of King Cyril, marking a reign focused on reconciliation and a return to a profitable Dracia.
